Meet Lynn.
Believing kindness and empathy
are necessary to success.
A farmer’s daughter from east-central Illinois.
I grew up on a farm surrounded by corn and soybeans and a big extended family. I am married to my college sweetheart and we are the parents of three amazing adults and grandparents to one darling little boy. I love travel, family gatherings, and sorting everything from socks to ideas. And I’m loyal to you, Illinois, and to the University of Notre Dame, both my alma maters. Professionally, I help non-profits with strategy and project management and I love a good spreadsheet. (see sorting comment above!)
I have a vivid memory of the first time I met Nancy in the early ’90s and know for sure everything has been better since. She was attending a Junior League holiday house walk and had her 9-month-old baby in her arms. Midwestern babies in snowsuits don’t bend very well and he was stretched out in her arms like a colorful plank as she walked through the festive home. I thought she seemed like a beacon of light and positivity and was eager to get to know her. We soon worked on a project together and I learned she was determined, capable, and laughed easily. Imagine my delight when she soon invited my children and me to a playdate in her home. Nancy and I have enjoyed many a play date since, with or without the children. Her sensitivity to others, deep thoughtfulness, and penchant for fun enrich my life daily.
